During the 17/1800s, bare knuckle pugilism was a major part of society. A charming public house on Panton Street was owned by one of the most successful fighters to have existed. This is the story of Tom Cribb, his public house, and the world of bare knuckle boxing. As with the rest of the animal kingdom, there are many humans who'll instinctively live their entire lives without ever actually acknowledging the fact that they're alive.

As someone who was raised in an around a large city, I have found that the most comforting and homely places are where I appear and feel to be the odd one out due to the many defence mechanisms I've subconsciously adopted growing up in a hostile environment

I'm sure you already know, but in case anyone forgot, please remember to keep your dogs cool and hydrated in hot weather. Be it warm or baking, dogs genuinely aren't fans of the heat, and this goes for houses as well as cars. Every year, many dogs suffer from heat stroke or worse because it's so easy to forget not to walk them in hot conditions or not to leave them in cars during hot weather. As I mentioned, I'm sure you're all more than capable of looking after your beloved pooches, but if there weren't so many mistakes made each year, I'd have no reason to say this. The vandalised Bundeswehr Military History Museum (1877), which sits in #Dresden, #Germany, is a prime example of what architectural and cultural terrorism looks like. Not only do new museums/galleries look repugnant, but they'll even destory the few classy ones we have left. 🤬

Something else that niggles me is when people say that it's incredibly easy for them to "cut people out" of their life. This, to me, is code for the fact that they're so self obsessed and lacking in patience, compassion, loyalty, and love that they're not worthy of dedication.

I've noticed that pretentious people who always drone on about their "worth" tend to end up with no one around them because of their inability to realise that they're simply an unlikable narcasist as opposed to something special.

Residents of 1970s #Southwark, #London have their say on how they feel that they're are being driven out by newcoming developers who are moving in and pricing them out of the market in order to pave the way for the corporate, standoffish, and gentrified area we know today.
