"Although Elon Musk has departed, his influence remains, as DOGE and its employees attempt to become a permanent part of the federal government, scattered across agencies where they can continue to sabotage key functions from within," Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, along with Rep. Robert Garcia of California, wrote in a letter late Wednesday. 

Writing to Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor and Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought, the Democratic senators and ranking member on the House Oversight Committee sought more information on how DOGE has embedded itself in the federal government.

The lawmakers called DOGE's continued presence in federal agencies "alarming," outlining in the letter, obtained exclusively by CBS News, that "employees are embedding themselves in the federal government in key agency positions" which they argue threatens the government's ability "to serve the American people," while alluding to potential violations of civil service laws.

Kupor refuted the lawmakers' characterization of the civil service hiring process in a statement to CBS News, saying OPM "reviews all requests to appoint current or recent political appointees to career roles for compliance with merit systems principles and civil service laws," while noting that "all federal hires undergo required background checks, ethics reviews, and suitability screenings."

In the spirit of transparency, I want to share what really happened with We The Media.

WTM was born after the Twitter purge, trusted anons united by a mission to share truth. Thanks to their ethics and hard work, WTM became a reliable source of news and commentary.

In 2022, an internal op fractured the group. One cofounder was accused of being Mossad, and amid the chaos, the channel ended up in the hands of Jordan Sather. He was trusted to carry the torch and keep WTM together.

What he did was anything but.

Since taking control of WTM, Jordan has quietly, without cause or consent, removed most of the original team from WTM, including the other remaining co-founder Kate, which he had no right to do.

He’s continued to keep the channel for personal gain, while exploiting others' work. Most followers probably don’t realize that nearly all the content on WTM for the past year has come from one person who stepped up to help keep it going, not the diverse team of trusted voices it once was. Jordan has used this person quietly doing all the work to keep the channel alive while the original team was pushed out.

Jordan has been asked multiple times to do the right thing and give the channel back to the team so it can be returned to what it once was. He ignores the requests each time.

🔥The FBI on Thursday is ousting at least three officials, including the former acting director and an officer involved in the January 6 investigations, Fox News has learned.

Former FBI acting director, Brian Driscoll, is among those being forced out of the bureau, sources familiar with the matter told Fox News, along with Walter Giardina, a special agent at the bureau who played a role in the investigation of Trump trade advisor, Peter Navarro, and Steven Jensen, the acting director in charge of the Washington Field Office.

Driscoll, for his part, served as acting director of the FBI prior to the confirmation of FBI Director Kash Patel, and Jensen played a key role in the January 6 investigations.

Senior FBI officials told the agents in question that they needed to leave by Friday, with no specific reason given to them individually.
