A Boeing 747 cargo plane nearly crashed on landing at Taiwan's airport during Typhoon Blow.

The footage shows the airplane, which arrived from Hong Kong, rocked violently in the air due to powerful gusts of wind. During landing, the airliner hit the engine and right wing on the runway.

Despite the damage, the crew managed to safely complete taxiing, media reported. There were no casualties and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Although the stone flies in the zone of dominance of Earth's gravitational field, the probability of its capture by the planet is very small and can actually only occur as a result of an unexpected collision of the asteroid with another celestial body, which may lead to a sharp decrease in the body's speed and its subsequent capture, or alter the asteroid's direction of movement, including directing it toward Earth.

A large-scale sinkhole opened on 10th Street, between Revolución Avenue and Madero Avenue, causing a gas leak that forced the evacuation of people from the area.

A Canadian Pacific Train derailed in the town of Lowell on Friday, Aug. 15, and Dodge Co Sheriff Dale Schmidt is asking the public to avoid the area during cleanup efforts.

The derailment was reported just after 2 p.m. bw Maiden Lane Road and the village of Reeseville.

Out of a total of 95 cars, about 22 derailed, and some crude oil may have leaked from the derailed cars. However, Schmidt said there doesn't appear to be any immediate danger to the public.

A freight train carrying diesel fuel caught fire early this morning near the Bulgarian village of Pyasychevo, near Simeonovgrad.

The incident occurred around 05:04 a.m., when several wagons from the train derailed.

Heavy overnight rains in part of Telangana caused a section of an internal road near Amara Raja Batteries Limited in Mahabubnagar’s Divitipally village to cave-in early on Thursday (August 14, 2025), leaving a company bus stranded.

According to an official from the Mahbubnagar Rural police, the road, located about one kilometre off National Highway (NH) 44, gave way around 7 a.m. as the bus was returning after picking up employees for the morning shift.
