The Unfiltered Truth About Tulsi Gabbard

In 2015, I was invited to document Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. It was backstage at one of his rallies that I first met Tulsi Gabbard.

Fast forward to 2019—Tulsi invited me to document her own run for President. I traveled with her and her family—her husband, sister, mother, and father. We shared cramped SUVs and Airbnbs, experiencing the intense, unrelenting pressure of a presidential campaign together. It’s the kind of stress that reveals people’s true character.

And what I saw was rare.

The Gabbards are a unique family—shockingly transparent, consistently kind, and deeply principled. Tulsi hides nothing. She allowed me to film her without makeup, when she was sick, and never once asked to review or censor my footage before it was released.

I was with Tulsi when the smear campaign against her went public. According to the headlines, she wasn’t just a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) — she was also allegedly affiliated with the World Economic Forum (WEF).

I asked Tulsi about it directly. She answered without hesitation.

She explained that, early in her political career — when she was still new and relatively naive — she was invited to join the CFR. But as soon as she became aware of the organization’s questionable activities and affiliations, she withdrew her membership.

As for the WEF? In March 2015, Tulsi was invited to take part in their Young Global Leader program.
At first, she felt honored by the recognition. But before formally joining, she took a closer look at the organization — and decided it wasn’t for her.

Despite declining the invitation, the WEF had already posted her photo and biography on their website, implying her participation.
She had to threaten legal action to have all references to her removed.

Even after the campaign, I continued to work with her and her husband Abe, an exceptional cinematographer, on a range of media projects—from her podcast to a documentary about the border crisis. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Tulsi in a way few others have.

Second only to my wife, Tulsi is the most extraordinary woman I’ve ever had the honor of collaborating with. Most importantly, and critically—especially in today’s political landscape—she is uncorruptible. If it ever seems like she’s playing along with “the system,” trust me: it’s strategic.

If there’s one thing I know with absolute certainty, it’s this: Tulsi loves America and all its people, deeply and sincerely.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret: Online personas aren’t always what they seem.

No, I’m not talking about selfie glamor filters—I’m talking about the strategic presentation of information.

Let me illustrate with a hypothetical scenario:
Suppose you were planning to go undercover to expose a top executive at a major pharmaceutical company. If you reached out to request an interview, the first thing their people would do is comb through your online presence to get a sense of who you are and if you are a “friendly” reporter. If your posts are filled with vaccine skepticism or anti-industry sentiments, you’ll never get in the room.

So you begin building a false identity.

Under a fake name, you build decoy social media accounts. Then, for weeks, months, or even years, you occupy those sites with pro-vaccine statements.

Or…
If you want to do it under your real name, you begin posting memes and narratives that make you appear sympathetic to the worldview of the person or organization you seek to expose.

This practice goes by many names, including:
– Persona building
– Deceptive identity creation
– Sockpuppeting

Another tactic is to say nothing at all. Staying silent on an issue you care deeply about is difficult, but sometimes, silence is the only way forward if you want to achieve real change from the inside.

I’m sharing this from personal experience.

There are things happening in our world right now that are keeping me up at night. Things I desperately want to speak about. But I haven’t said a word publicly—not because I don’t care, but because I’m actively working behind the scenes. If I speak too soon or say the wrong thing, I could lose the access I need to make real progress.

I hope this helps you understand something important during this moment of awakening.

When someone you trust says or does something that appears way out of character, it might not be betrayal. It might be strategy. It might be deep cover. It might be the only way to undo the very thing they appear to support.

It’s real. It’s happening. And it’s more common than you think.

THE DEVIL IN YOUR SCREEN

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed it: a growing sense that many people are losing touch with reality.

While millions — perhaps even billions — seem to be waking up, questioning long-held beliefs and confronting truth for the first time, an unsettling parallel is unfolding: a rising tide of individuals slipping deeper into the abyss of mental illness.

COVID may have accelerated the crisis, but one can’t help but wonder: how much of this was already simmering beneath the surface, long before 2020 pulled back the curtain?

Is it possible that the cognitive decline we’re witnessing today is the byproduct of CIA mind control experiments covertly conducted decades ago?

Here are a few of the documented programs:

BLUEBIRD (1950) – An early program focused on interrogation techniques and memory erasure.

ARTICHOKE (1951) – Expanded on BLUEBIRD; included hypnosis, drugs, and other methods to create amnesia or extract information.

And then there’s one of the more notorious projects:

OPERATION MOCKINGBIRD (1950s–70s) – A large-scale covert CIA program (exposed by the Church Committee in 1975) to place friendly journalists in major media outlets. Hundreds of journalists cooperated — sometimes knowingly, sometimes unwittingly, and often under contract. The goal: shape public opinion, suppress stories, and promote narratives favorable to U.S. policy.

According to the CIA, the experiment was shut down in 1973 because it failed to “effectively control human consciousness.”

Do we actually believe that?

Or is it more plausible that the CIA mastered mind control — then deployed it?

And could elements of those experiments have already been woven into our daily lives?

Hidden in the written word. Embedded in our music, our films, our video games, our social media feeds. Have they quietly made their way into our homes — and our hearts?

Since the 1980s, the CIA has operated an Entertainment Liaison Office whose job is to:
• Advise film and TV writers and producers
• Request script changes to protect national security or the CIA’s image

The CIA itself openly describes this office:

“The CIA’s Office of Public Affairs works with filmmakers, authors, and screenwriters to ensure accuracy and protect security.”

In 1996, Chase Brandon became the CIA’s first official Hollywood liaison. As he told NPR in 2012:

“I had the authority to say, ‘This is something that would make the Agency look very bad — and we prefer that you not do that.’”

The Department of Defense (DoD) / Pentagon has an even larger entertainment office, whose involvement runs deeper still: they require script changes in exchange for access to military equipment, locations, and personnel.

The DoD’s cooperation isn’t just about accuracy — it explicitly aims to:
• Improve public perception of the military
• Support recruiting and retention
• Minimize depictions of war crimes, corruption, or dissent
• Emphasize heroism, advanced technology, and moral clarity

Unlike film and television, the music industry doesn’t have an official liaison office with intelligence agencies — but influence still happens:
• Label executives or producers with intelligence connections
• Use of confidential informants to monitor, disrupt, or steer politically charged movements
• Studies on how music affects human behavior
• Allegations that the CIA deliberately promoted drug culture through music
• Occult or mind-control symbolism in mainstream pop videos

Consider the pivot in the late 1980s and early 1990s: U.S. agencies and industry gatekeepers shifted mainstream rap away from politically conscious themes and toward more materialistic, violent, and nihilistic gangsta rap.

At the same time, private prison investment surged — and music glorifying violence and criminality exploded on radio and TV, while conscious artists got sidelined.

Once again: is it really so far-fetched to suspect that the cognitive decline we’re witnessing today is the legacy of covert experiments launched decades ago?
