🕊️🕊️🕊️ Week of hope — and then?

When, one morning last year, everyone woke up to the realization that Trump had won a crushing victory, many Ukrainians felt uplifted. His decisive win and control of Congress gave reason to hope he would deliver on his promises to end the war in Ukraine quickly (if not in 24 hours, then at least soon).

Against that backdrop, Trump’s ratings in Ukraine surged. Trash outlets like Kyiv International Institute of Sociology were forced to print him at 40%, but in reality his support was much higher, because everyone we spoke to — acquaintances, friends — shared that hope with real enthusiasm.

So when Trump failed, people fell into a period of apathy: the sense that the senseless suffering would continue. Back then there was no clear informational signal of an endpoint after which people could draw conclusions. All decisions — ultimatums and proposals — were spread out over time. That is why the apathy crept in slowly, gradually.

Now the situation is different. For a whole week Ukraine will live in hope — the hope that agreements reached in Alaska will lead to the end of the war.

Accordingly, there are only two possible outcomes. If it happens, society’s hopes will be met, entirely new people will come to power in elections, and Zelenskyy’s team will be blamed for all the ills.

If it does not happen (most likely), a sharp disillusionment will sweep through Ukrainian society and the armed forces, which could lead to truly catastrophic consequences.

🧩🧩🧩 Step‑by‑step derailment of the meeting

In an intriguing way, Zelenskyy and the globalists are sabotaging the meeting. What a play! Narratives are being introduced gradually so they don't override one another. Everything is being done according to cognitive science 👂👂🇬🇧

Since Wednesday evening Zelenskyy and his "European partners" knew the gist of Trump's proposal to exchange Ukrainian territories — BUT THEY KEPT QUIET.

1️⃣ The first narrative (to derail the meeting) was that the meeting must be a three‑way one, and Putin must agree to meet Zelenskyy.

2️⃣ Trump himself knocked that down by saying he was not insisting on a Zelenskyy and Putin meeting.

3️⃣ All day yesterday Zelenskyy stayed silent and did not mention any unwillingness to swap territory — he was waiting for Trump to make such a proposal PERSONALLY.

4️⃣ As soon as Donny made comments overnight saying Zelenskyy would have to strike a deal and cede territory, Zelenskyy struck back in the morning — he refused.

In our view Trump seriously miscalculated, giving Zelenskyy and the globalists a whole week to criticize the upcoming meeting. Bild is already writing that Witkoff misunderstood Putin, while the Kremlin leader still demands Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

Those attacks will be blasted from every angle for a week, convincing Trump that his meeting with Putin will be pointless because Zelenskyy still won't accept their terms of peace ☝️

🎥 The globalists are in a panic

The Washington Post says that Putin picked Alaska for a meeting with Trump because an ICC arrest warrant would not be enforceable on U.S. soil.

The planned summit there could bring Putin and Trump together, prompting the latter to pressure Ukraine and Europe, which in April had already refused to recognize territories seized by Russia or to lift sanctions.

Despite all the fuss, Trump has so far exerted no pressure on Putin. Not the slightest.

As you can see, the article is rife with narratives and outright absurd conclusions, which points to a bit of panic in the globalist camp ☝️

Zelenskyy early this morning rejected Trump's peace proposals

🔹 The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question already is in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will deviate from this – and no one will be able to. Ukrainians will not gift their land to the occupier.

🔹 Ukraine is ready for real decisions that can bring peace. Any decisions that are against us, any decisions that are without Ukraine, are at the same time decisions against peace. They will not achieve anything. These are stillborn decisions. They are unworkable decisions. And we all need real and genuine peace. Peace that people will respect. We are ready to work together with President Trump, together with all our partners for real and, most importantly, lasting peace. A peace that will not collapse because of Moscow's desires.

🔹 He said that a meeting between Putin and Trump in Alaska will take place very far from Ukraine.

🔹Of course, we will not give Russia a reward for what it has done… Ukrainians will not donate their land to the occupier.

Completely pr
edictable. Now the task of the Office of President is to discredit Witkoff's peace proposals even before the Trump and Putin meeting.

⚡️🇺🇸 Trump Statement ⚡️

🔹 I'll soon be meeting with Putin - he also wants this meeting to happen as quickly as possible;

🔹 The issue of territorial exchanges between Ukraine and Russia is complex but could benefit both sides;

🔹 Zelenskyy needs to prepare to sign "something." We want to facilitate an exchange;

🔹 Zelenskyy is getting everything needed to advance a Ukraine settlement;

🔹 Without U.S. intervention, the Russia-Ukraine conflict could have escalated into a world war;

🇷🇺 Dmitriev's response to Trump's statement:

This is what real leadership looks like.

The Biden administration was teetering on the brink of taking a different path, but fortunately that approach failed.

🔹 The long-awaited meeting between me and Putin will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the great state of Alaska.

🇷🇺 Ushakov confirmed the date - August 15 - and location - Alaska.

Moscow expects that the next Putin-Trump meeting after the Alaska talks will be held in Russia, and has already sent an official invitation to the U.S. President.

🎥 Simon Shuster: Lukashenko Plays Mediator in U.S.-Russia Talks Since Trump’s Return

Since the beginning of the year, Shuster began receiving persistent requests from Minsk for an interview—even with offers of payment from Lukashenko’s administration. At first, Shuster didn’t understand Belarusian authorities’ motives, but later learned that Lukashenko had been negotiating with the U.S., offering his services as a kind of Putin whisperer."

The Belarusian president told the Americans that Putin wanted peace and was open to compromises. He advised U.S. officials on how to steer talks with the Kremlin in the right direction and assured them of Russia’s willingness to negotiate in good faith—despite ongoing bombings in Ukraine. He even floated the prospect of a Nobel Peace Prize for Trump if successful.

The Americans played along, visiting Minsk at least five times and considering Lukashenko a "very valuable" backchannel to Putin to "push the idea of a summit between Putin and Trump," hoping it could "break the impasse in the peace process." These efforts by Lukashenko have now paved the way for talks about a potential leaders’ meeting.

Shuster notes that despite Putin’s repeated refusals to cease fire in Ukraine, Lukashenko consistently relayed a completely different message to the Americans: Putin wants peace and is ready to make concessions.

"These signals nurtured hopes within the White House that a diplomatic breakthrough would soon be possible, and they helped prepare the ground for the U.S. and Russia to announce on Aug. 6 that their leaders would soon meet in person. The war’s conclusion after more than three and a half years may now rest with the world’s two nuclear superpowers." - The article states.

Another message Lukashenko emphasized to the Americans: Putin must be treated with respect. He warned that everything could collapse if Trump failed to show Putin sufficient deference.

"In the name of peace, maybe you’ve got to be a little cunning and make some concessions. Even if you can’t make sense of Putin, treat him like a human being," Lukashenko reportedly said.

Lukashenko’s got style. He’s now positioned himself as a shadow negotiator—even releasing Tikhanovsky to serve this grand objective. The main goal? Talking Trump into meeting Putin☝️

🌍 The Washington Agreement

Today, Washington will host a landmark geopolitical event.

Aliyev and Pashinyan are set to sign a treaty. Trump will undoubtedly tout this as yet another personal victory—though the U.S. would have achieved this outcome regardless of who sits in the Oval Office: Biden, Harris, or even a Kennedy.

The United States excels at securing its strategic objectives through systematic, long-term efforts. The South Caucasus has been a top priority for Washington, as evidenced by the fact that the U.S. Embassy in Armenia is the second-largest in the world (with 2,000 staff).

Armenian state media are carefully framing Pashinyan’s visit to the U.S., knowing full well that the terms Armenia is about to accept will be humiliating. They’re "dancing on hot coals," trying to soften the backlash from the impending deal.

That said, we disagree with certain Russian "experts" claiming that "Russia has been kicked out of the South Caucasus." Moscow still retains some influence in the region. Otherwise, what would stop Turkey and Azerbaijan from turning Armenia into another Syria—with consequences for Armenians akin to those faced by the Alawites?

Yet Russia’s influence is undeniably waning. In that regard, we might as well congratulate Sergei Lavrov on yet another diplomatic "achievement." Off the top of my head, I can’t recall any Russian foreign minister under whom the country lost its foothold in the South Caucasus so rapidly—ever since it first entered the region. Lavrov’s Armenian roots, which surely gave him insight into local dynamics, didn’t even help.

This is a way of conditioning Moldovans to shoot at Russians.

Of course, all of this takes place within the framework of preparing for a large war in Europe. At the moment two main trump cards that the West is systematically preparing are clearly visible: Transnistria and Kaliningrad.

In this context, Moldova's upcoming elections play a key role. The West badly needs a controllable system similar to Ukraine's that, if necessary, will not resist being drawn into war ☝️

Companies that commit to building production facilities in the U.S. will be exempt from the tariffs.

The Americans are acting logically and rationally. First, they forced the world to adopt their currency and buy their Treasury bonds, effectively siphoning global wealth into the United States over time. This allowed their market to become the world’s largest. Now, as they prepare to plunge the rest of the world into the chaos of war while positioning themselves as the planet’s last bastion of stability, technological sovereignty has become a priority. That’s why they’re incentivizing manufacturers to relocate to the U.S.—to rebuild the self-sufficiency they lost during the era of globalization ☝️

"This is not how it's done: 'I showed up, laid down my terms, gave 50 days.' This isn't Iran, where you can just drop three bombs and then say, 'Alright, I’m done. Let’s make peace, guys.' You have to meet, you have to talk. Over these 50 days, we need to do everything to: first, stop the missiles and drones; second, reach a complete ceasefire by the end of those 50 days. Stop the shooting, the fighting, and start negotiating a final peace. Whether it’s demilitarization or some delayed solution—who the hell knows what this war is even about anymore—but people need to stop dying."

"Get the three of you together somewhere. Trump, Putin—sort things out on the first day, then invite Zelenskyy. On day one, discuss U.S.-Russia relations; on day two, tackle this issue. Bring Zelenskyy in, put it on the table: here’s an aerial ceasefire."

⚡️ Trump's Tariff Gamble Threatens to Destroy U.S.-India Relations, Pushing New Delhi Toward China and RussiaThe New York Times

Mr. Modi has touted his relationship with Mr. Trump, courting the U.S. president during his first term in office and calling him a “true friend.”

But that friendship, as many American allies have learned, may mean little when Mr. Trump’s own priorities are at stake.

India has labeled Trump's additional tariffs as "unfair, unjustified and unreasonable," arguing that it needs cheap oil to meet the energy demands of its rapidly growing economy—and is being punished for doing what other countries, like China and Turkey, also do.

If India stops buying Russian oil—agreeing to higher prices for consumers and domestic production—it would politically damage Modi's government.

Meanwhile, according to India's Global Trade Research Initiative, the tariff hike could halve India's $86+ billion exports to the U.S. America is India's largest trading partner, accounting for nearly 20% of its economy.

But it's crucial to note: India is not "a dead economy" as Mr. Trump called it. It’s the world’s fastest-growing major economy and a valuable U.S. strategic partner—serving as a counterbalance to China.

India and the U.S., along with Japan and Australia, are members of the "QUAD" diplomatic partnership, primarily aimed at countering China’s growing influence in the Indo-Pacific.

India is also vital for many U.S. companies, including Apple, which shifted some production from China to India (smartphones, notably, are excluded from Trump’s new tariffs against India—as are refined petroleum products😉).

Analysts warn that U.S. actions will "push India to reconsider its strategic alignment, deepening ties with Russia, China and many other countries."

Globalists will undoubtedly exploit the BRICS nations' alignment amid Trump’s tariffs to accuse Donny of geopolitical failure. Expect more articles like this.

⚡️ U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi Announces Increased Bounty for Venezuelan President

Today, the Department of Justice and State Department are announcing a historic $50 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro.

The United States considers Venezuela's president to be the head of an international drug cartel trafficking cocaine into the U.S. and the leader of a criminal organization responsible for gang violence in American cities 🤦‍♂️

The real reason for U.S. attacks on Maduro is obvious - Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves. Maduro stands between the U.S. and this oil.

The U.S. can no longer significantly increase its own oil production. And if Trump imposes sanctions on Russian oil, the market will face a shortage.

For a prize like Venezuelan oil, the U.S. is willing to put a bounty on the head of a sovereign nation's president. "Democracy" 🤷‍♂️

🧠 Protect Your Mental Health This Coming Week!

Globalists, the Office of President, the Russians, Donny—basically everyone—will be working overtime until the Trump-Putin meeting (if it even happens) to bombard you with their narratives and provocations. Just look at the last two hours:

🤯 The New York Times: The Russian leader’s overarching goal is primarily to secure a peace deal that achieves his geopolitical aims — and not necessarily to conquer a certain amount of territory on the battlefield. Russian officials may be hoping that a one-on-one summit will give Mr. Putin an opportunity to sway Mr. Trump, long sympathetic to Russia, back to supporting the Russian leader’s views on what he calls “the root causes of the conflict.”

Narratives being pushed:

🔹A Trump-Putin meeting is bad

🔹Putin will use it to win the war

🔹Putin will outmaneuver Trump

🤯 Polish (lol) outlet Onet, citing sources:

Witkoff delivered to Putin a plan agreed with Europeans:

🤡 Ceasefire, not peace

🤡 De facto recognition of Russia's territorial gains (by deferring the issue for 49-99 years)

🤡 Lifting most sanctions, with long-term revival of energy cooperation (i.e., Russian gas/oil imports)

🤡 No NATO non-expansion or Ukraine demilitarization guarantees—and Moscow is fine with this."*

Cognitive trap: The actual outcome will differ completely, letting them blame Trump for "failing to pressure Putin."

🤯 Putin aide Ushakov: "The Americans made a proposal Russia finds acceptable."

Bait-and-switch: Russians are "selling" the idea that Putin will make concessions to Trump.

🤯 Le Monde:

"Trump is risking his political capital after six months of mediation efforts."

For globalists, the mere fact of this meeting is a loss ☝️ They'll use such scare tactics to pressure Trump into canceling.

Bottom line: Guard your sanity, friends! We'll try to decode these info-dumps as they come.

P.S.: A UK strategic reconnaissance aircraft is currently operating over the Black Sea. Provocations to sabotage the meeting are HIGHLY likely.

Ukrainian Support for War Effort Collapses. Public morale toward Washington is declining, and hopes for swift NATO accession are fading - Gallup poll

Gallup reports:

1️⃣ Most Ukrainians now favor ending the war with Russia through negotiations;

2️⃣ More than three years into the war, Ukrainians’ support for continuing to fight until victory has hit a new low;

3️⃣ Ukrainian hopes for joining NATO and EU have faded;

3️⃣ Approval of U.S. leadership has plummeted;

4️⃣ Most doubt the war will end anytime soon.

More than three years into the war, Ukrainian backing for continuing the fight until victory has hit a new low, nearly reversing public sentiment from 2022:

🔹 Only 24% support fighting until victory (down from 73% in 2022, a threefold drop);

🔹 69% advocate for swift peace talks (up from 22% in 2022, a 3.1-fold increase).

Just one in four (25%) believe active combat will likely cease within the next 12 months, though only 5% consider this "very likely." Over two-thirds (68%) view near-term cessation of hostilities as improbable.

A record 73% now disapprove of U.S. leadership - evaporating all goodwill Washington accumulated in 2022 when 66% approved.

Yet 70% want the U.S. to play "a significant role" in peace talks, with 75% favoring EU involvement and 71% supporting UK participation.

NATO accession hopes have halved to 32% in 2025 (from 64% in 2022 and 69% in 2023). Conversely, those believing Ukraine will never join NATO tripled to 33% (from 12% in 2022 and 10% in 2023).

A slim majority (52%) expect EU membership within a decade, down from 61% last year and 73% in 2022-2023.

These numbers are simply returning to normal. This is just the beginning. Disillusionment with "partners" will keep growing.

⚡️ Putin on meeting with Trump:

"We have many friends willing to help us organize such events. One of these friends is the President of the United Arab Emirates. I think we'll decide, but this would be one of the suitable, quite appropriate locations."

Additionally, Putin stated that a meeting with Zelenskyy is only possible if conditions are created for it, which are currently far from being realized.

We were right twice:

🔹 The meeting will take place in the Middle East;

🔹 The parties have so far only agreed on a Trump-Putin meeting.

🧩 Brazilian President Lula da Silva plans to discuss with the leaders of India and China a joint BRICS response to Trump's tariffs

Today, Lula intends to begin negotiations with Modi and then contact Xi and other leaders:

"I'm going to try to discuss with them about how each one is doing in this situation, what the implications are for each country, so we can make a decision. It's important to remember that the BRICS have ten countries at the G20."

Modi also stated that relations between the U.S. and Brazil have reached their lowest point in 200 years:

"We had already pardoned the U.S. intervention in the 1964 coup. But this now is not a small intervention. It's the president of the United States thinking he can dictate rules for a sovereign country like Brazil. It's unacceptable."

Several followers immediately wrote that Trump could honestly add India and China to the list of countries he has reconciled and award himself another star :)

We fully agree. And now Donny is breathing new life into BRICS 😂

🧩🧩🧩 One Year of the Kursk Adventure

A year ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an operation in Russia's Kursk region, which we immediately dubbed (and the name stuck) the "Kursk Adventure."

There were—and still are—many theories about why this happened. Some experts believe the Ukrainian forces were trying to reach the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, others claim Zelenskyy was trying to provoke Putin into using nuclear weapons. The official propaganda line from the Office of President was that it aimed to divert troops from the Donbas front. This explanation is idiotic, if only because during this time, Ukraine lost control of: Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Kurakhove, Selydove, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and many other settlements, while Russian forces have now entered Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

We maintain our original position: the operation was orchestrated by Bankova team with one primary goal—to prolong Zelenskyy's hold on power.

After the fall of Avdiivka, Zelenskyy needed to demonstrate to globalists that the Ukrainian military was still capable of offensive action. This was indeed achieved. Ukraine shattered a crucial narrative—that no one could set foot on a nuclear power’s territory without facing nuclear retaliation. Moscow was even forced to revise its nuclear doctrine.

At the same time, Ukraine lost its own narrative of a "defensive war." Non-Western countries now clearly see this is not just about Ukraine’s defense, but a proxy war between the West and Russia.

The results:

🇷🇺 Russia gained: A painful blow, thousands of dead civilians, devastated territories in Kursk Oblast. It also gained a true ally—North Korea.

🇺🇦 Ukraine gained: Tens of thousands of soldiers dead, now definitively for nothing; the loss of numerous cities in Donbas; the provocation of a Russian "sanitary zone" in Sumy Oblast, making life in Sumy unsafe. But most importantly—it got an extended war.

Who won here? Decide for yourselves. Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already declared today that it was him.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China for the first time in over seven years, in a further sign of a diplomatic thaw with Beijing as tensions with the United States rise. Modi will go to China for a summit of the multilateral Shanghai Cooperation Organisation that begins on Aug. 31.

🧩🧩 Negotiations

Trump writes: "Great progress was made!" With Trump, it's always like that - all his negotiations go great. That's why he immediately imposed sanctions 🤷‍♂️

It went so "great" that he immediately called Zelenskyy, who brought his European cheerleading squad into the call.

Dmitriev writes: "everything went very well, we hope the right forces will prevail." Well, he has no way back, so that's also understandable.

Zelenskyy, meanwhile, delivered an absolutely standard phrase that could have been used in any phone call with Trump.

Not a single detail has been revealed yet. Clearly, the Russians made some proposal that Trump passed on to Zelenskyy and the Europeans.

They, apparently, are haggling. The whole world is holding its breath in anticipation, and only the Indians realized it's time to head to Beijing.

We have already made clear our position on these issues, including the fact that our imports are based on market factors and done with the overall objective of ensuring the energy security of 1.4 billion people of India.

🇲🇩 Moldovan passions continue.

Yesterday, a Moldovan court sentenced Governor of Gagauzia Evghenia Guțul to 7 years in prison for illegal campaign financing.

Of course, the verdict is politically motivated and serves as a key element of Sandu's repressive strategy against her opponents.

To understand the situation, it's worth noting that Guțul is the main political asset of former Moldovan (now Russian) businessman Ilan Shor. Shor represents that faction of the Kremlin that advocates for radical confrontation with Sandu. His conflict with Moldova's president has long been known.

Ultimately, Shor is Sandu's most convenient opponent. He constantly generates political pretexts that she takes to Brussels to demonstrate "Russian interference."

In the fall of 2022, it was Shor's organizations that orchestrated mass protests with street blockades, which ultimately allowed Sandu to tighten local legislation against the opposition.

Shortly after, Shor offered cryptocurrency rewards for any information discrediting Sandu. Following this, all Chisinau crypto exchanges—after sending their sincere best wishes to the entrepreneur—came under close scrutiny by local security services.

Last year, a Moldovan journalist infiltrated Shor's so-called network using fake documents. A high-profile investigation was published about voter bribery. Given that this involved not just elections but also the EU accession referendum, the EU imposed sanctions, and Pavel Durov, for the first time, agreed to restrict political Telegram channels by blocking Shor's entire network and Russia Today in Moldova.

In short, if Shor didn't exist, Sandu would have had to invent him to showcase "Russian interference."

Because how else can you explain the decline in living standards and the failure of all the reforms promised to Moldovans?

📊 In telethons and pro-government Ukrainian channels, there's a powerful victory - Zelenskyy is twice as popular in the U.S. as Trump, and ranks second only to the Pope.

But somehow there's no news that here in Ukraine, according to KMIS polling data, trust in Zelenskyy has fallen by 7%, while distrust has grown by 5%.

The current survey began on July 23, 2025 - the day after the controversial vote in the Verkhovna Rada on Law No. 12414.

As can be seen in Graph 1, currently 58% of Ukrainians trust the President (down from 65% in early June), while 35% distrust him (up from 30% in early June).

The trust-distrust balance has decreased from +35% in early June to +23% in early August.

At the same time, people cite the following as main reasons for distrusting the president:

💰 corruption (21%),

🪖 lack of preparation for war and unwillingness to end it (20%).

Additionally, 6% of respondents specifically noted they were dissatisfied with the July 22, 2025 vote and therefore distrust the president.

That's the math.

🇺🇦 In an interview with The Times, Yulia Tymoshenko has decided to establish her new political positioning. Her interview became the harshest criticism of the West by a Ukrainian political leader since the invasion began.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Western countries — under the threat of suspending loans — have imposed unacceptable control over Ukrainian state institutions, banks, and monopolies, undermining the country’s sovereignty. This is cruel and unfair to a nation at war.

Such international oversight might be acceptable in countries like Afghanistan, Liberia, or Sierra Leone, but not in Ukraine.

There is no need to tell us that Ukrainians can sacrifice their lives for peace in Europe but allegedly cannot govern their own country. Our Western friends had no right to expect that at one of the most challenging moments in our nation’s history, Ukraine would pay for assistance or loans with its sovereignty.

Yulia, you yourself voted for everything the West wanted, from all those "independent commissions" to the deal with the US🤷‍♂️

However, the hypocrisy goes even further.

For the current war — for the dead and injured, for the destroyed Ukrainian cities and villages, for the suffering of millions — those Western leaders who voted against granting Ukraine the MAP (in 2008. — Ed.) also bear responsibility.

If the West had voted for the MAP... if apples grew on Mars... if grandma had... then she'd be grandpa...

Let's recall that Yulia Tymoshenko was one of the main advocates of Ukraine's NATO course. Back in 2008, it was she and Yatsenyuk who pushed this agenda the most, it was "her personal minister of foreign affairs" Nemyria who was the main NATO lobbyist in Ukraine. Everyone who was against NATO at the time and said that Ukraine's non-aligned status was key to peace was accused of being Kremlin agents. But they turned out to be right: the move toward NATO ultimately led to war with Russia. Now Ukraine is fighting Russia as a result of Yulia's actions, but Tymoshenko blames the West for betrayal.

However, the West never intended to admit Ukraine to NATO because it makes no sense. It doesn't exhaust Russia. After Finland joined NATO, Russia simply created a new military district in response - that's all. These aren't critical costs, whereas the Special military operation represents a critical restructuring of the economy. Therefore, the West only needed Ukraine as a big battering ram against Russia - one that's expendable. And it was Tymoshenko who laid the groundwork back in 2008 for what's happening now, while today, reacting to public sentiment, she's like: "The West betrayed us"☝️

🧩 The United States of Israel

U.S. states and cities will be denied scheduled federal disaster preparedness funding - amounting to $1.9 billion - unless they certify they will not refuse to conduct business, terminate or limit "commercial relations specifically with Israeli companies."

This means critically vital emergency and disaster response measures, including search-and-rescue equipment, emergency management salaries, and backup power systems, will only receive federal funding if they maintain the "correct" pro-Israel position.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the agency overseeing FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), issued "Fiscal Year 2025 Terms and Conditions" in April that prohibit states and cities receiving its grants from boycotting Israel (the BDS movement - "Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions"), which aims to economically pressure Israel to cease its actions in the Gaza Strip.

In one grant notice published Friday, FEMA requires major U.S. cities to comply with Israel's policies.

💣 80 years ago, the A-bomb saved countless lives — but now we must defend against nukes

This was the headline of an article in the New York Post.

Whether it was justified to use the bomb constitutes one of the most controversial historical questions in American history, but it was clearly the right call.

It’s nice to think that Imperial Japan would have decided to surrender on the same timeline without Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but there is no evidence of it.

The Japanese had a strong strategic commitment to defeating or inflicting a severe blow against a prospective American invasion. The A-bomb scuppered these plans.
And, according to the author, it made the US invasion unnecessary, saving hundreds of thousands of American casualties; saved millions of Japanese lives; shortened the brief Soviet invasion; and ended the suffering brought to the region by Imperial Japan.

Bequeathed with untold power by the new weapon, it is telling that we used the bomb to bring an end to a terrible war and didn’t use it to dominate Europe, or for other cynical purposes.

Here the author with complete seriousness claims that the US nuclear umbrella " became part of a security arrangement that endured for decades, defending the free world from the Soviets and preventing the re-occurrence of world war."

And we can't help but quote the article's conclusion:

Eighty years ago, the atom bomb was the peacemaker in a horrific conflict that killed millions.

Next time, it could be an instrument in the hands of an irrational regime, or rival nation bent on the destruction of American power.

Beware.

No comments. Well, that's how they are🤷‍♂️>

🇮🇱 The Jerusalem Post: Former heads of the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli intelligence agencies "Mossad" and "Shin Bet" have sent a letter to Donald Trump urging him to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza.

The letter was signed by over 600 former senior Israeli security officials.

They argue that two objectives of the military operation that required force had long been achieved, while the third - the release of hostages from Gaza - can only be resolved through diplomatic means.

Furthermore, they state that "it is our professional judgement that Hamas no longer poses a strategic threat to Israel."

What we've been writing about for a long time: continuing the war simply keeps Netanyahu in power. Meanwhile, everyone understands the real purpose behind prolonging the conflict.

🇮🇳 India's MFA Responds with Uncharacteristic Harshness to U.S. Sanction Threats:

🔹 India began importing from Russia because traditional supplies were diverted to Europe. The United States at that time actively encouraged such imports by India to strengthen global energy market stability.

🔹 it is revealing that the very nations criticizing India are themselves indulging in trade with Russia. Unlike our case, such trade is not even a vital national compulsion. The European Union in 2024 had a bilateral trade of Euro 67.5 billion in goods with Russia. In addition, it had trade in services estimated at Euro 17.2 billion in 2023. This is significantly more than India’s total trade with Russia that year or subsequently. European imports of LNG in 2024, in fact, reached a record 16.5mn tonnes, surpassing the last record of 15.21mn tonnes in 2022. The EU’s trade with Russia isn’t limited to energy. Fertilizers, chemicals, mining products, iron, steel, and machinery.

🔹 India also reminded the U.S. about its own purchases of Russian uranium hexafluoride, palladium, fertilizers and chemicals.

🔹 The targeting of India is unjustified and unreasonable. Like any major economy, India will take all necessary measures to safeguard its national interests and economic security.

This means diplomatic channels ultimately failed.

Trump overplayed his hand. Now he'll have to impose sanctions knowing they'll only harm U.S. interests.

🇮🇳 India's Diplomatic Nuances

At a rally on Saturday, Indian Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to buy locally produced goods in order to mitigate the economic impact amid increasing global uncertainty:

"The world economy is going through many apprehensions, there is an atmosphere of instability. Now, whatever we buy, there should be only one scale: we will buy those things which have been made by the sweat of an Indian. The interests of our farmers, our small industries and the employment of our youth are of paramount importance."

Modi also emphasized that India must remain vigilant regarding its economic interests while other countries focus on their own agendas.

Notably, Modi did not directly address the threats of secondary sanctions or Trump's remarks about India's weak economy. He refrained from explicitly stating what actions India would take if the U.S. imposed secondary sanctions for purchasing Russian oil.

As we mentioned earlier, translating this diplomatic language, Modi is trying to convey a straightforward message to the U.S. — "Don't go down that path; we will have to defend ourselves." At the same time, the seasoned Modi has left himself room for maneuvering and has not openly contradicted Trump.

This behavior closely resembles that of Putin and Xi with Trump. Leaders of major powers are cautious not to unnecessarily provoke the U.S. president while still asserting their own positions.

🇪🇺🤷‍♂️ Czech President Petr Pavel: The temporary Russian occupation of part of Ukrainian territory may be the necessary price for Ukraine's survival as a sovereign state.

"We want them to survive as an independent sovereign country. And if there is a cost to renewing Ukraine as an independent autonomous state, if the cost is to accept that part of the territory will be temporarily occupied, without recognising it legally, then so be it. We will never recognise these occupied territories as legally Russian."

It would be worth commenting on this if Pavel didn't constantly produce opposing positions.

We've paired some of his quotes that slightly contradict each other.

On the decisive role of the counteroffensive:

March 2023: "This year is crucial for the development of the war."

March 2025: "Two years ago, before the start of Ukraine's major counteroffensive, the conditions for success were already absent."

On compromise:

March 2024: "A compromise between Ukraine and Russia is currently impossible. All of Russia's proposals so far have been dictatorial. The Kremlin presented its list of demands, which it, as the aggressor, has no right to impose."

May 2024: "We need to stop the war and then begin discussing future agreements. Some compromise could be possible, but not without the consent of Ukraine, Russia, and the guarantor countries."

On outcomes for Ukraine:

February 2025: "It is our collective duty to help Ukraine withstand and win this war."

July 2025: "If the price for Ukraine's survival is a temporary occupation of part of its territories, then so be it."

That's how it is 🤷‍♂️

In our opinion, secondary tariffs from the U.S. would be a serious mistake for the country. In any case, they would encourage third countries to move away from the U.S. dollar and American assets.

🇨🇳Wall Street Journal: China is limiting the flow of critical minerals to Western defense manufacturers, delaying production and forcing companies to scour the world for stockpiles of the minerals needed to make everything from bullets to jet fighters.

The publication reports that China accounts for about 90% of global supplies of rare earth metals and holds leading positions in the extraction of many other critical minerals, with over 80,000 components used by the Pentagon containing minerals subject to China's export restrictions.

Some materials essential to the Western defense industry are now being sold at prices five times higher or more, and in at least one case, a critical mineral cost 60 times more than before China imposed restrictions.

It is emphasized that virtually all supply chains for such minerals in the U.S. defense and military industry rely on at least one Chinese supplier, meaning that the restrictions imposed by China could have serious consequences for American military capabilities.

Furthermore, Chinese regulatory authorities often request detailed information, including confidential data, about the intended use of the acquired minerals and guarantees that none will be used by Western companies for military purposes.

Concerns that this situation poses a serious threat to U.S. national security have been noted for some time.

As early as January of this year, the New York Post highlighted worries from American lawmakers and experts that if diplomatic relations deteriorate or a real conflict arises between the two countries, China could completely halt supplies, which would have catastrophic consequences for the American automotive industry, tech companies, and the Pentagon.

Additionally, the publication reminded readers that the U.S. dependence on China and its lack of competitiveness stem from the "green agenda"—the U.S. began to abandon rare earth metal mining in the 1980s due to "environmental concerns," which led to stricter permitting and licensing regulations. Consequently, companies sought foreign supply sources, profits from mining dropped, and domestic production declined.

As we can see, unlike Russia, China takes the threat of war with the West seriously and is ALREADY limiting its opponent's ability to prepare for conflict.
