Teaching Writing Skill

Stages of writing process :
1.Pre-writing : brainstorming , ما قبل القراءة -
2.Drafting ( topic, supporting, concluding) -
3.Revising ( check if the text fits the thesis ) مرحلة المراجعه - . Students incorporate their peer suggestions يدمجو اقتراحات زملائهم.
4.Editing and proofreading مرحلة التعديل و التنقيح -
5.Publishing : to share their writing by reading aloud. Students review and amend their writing.

Types of Writing:
1.Controlled writing : LITERACY
يطلق عليها معرفة القراء و الكتابه focuses on grammatical patterns, sentence structure , punctuation and word order.
2.Guided writing :
providing them by the language they need to complete the task such as key words.
3.Free writing :
regardless to spelling, grammar or topic. increases influence more than accuracy.
4.Creative writing :
creativity of mind such as fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction.

Modes of writing :
1. Narration:
series of events, follow chronological order,

2. Description وصفيه

3. Process:
how to do something by describing a process, chronological order.

4. Cause and Effect التاثير والسبب : (why) or what something results in -effect- The structure can move from cause to effect or from effect to cause.

5. Classification and Division:
Devision breaks objects into a group or a category into small parts according to some consist principles. Classification group items into some classes or categories.

6. Summarizing :
main ideas into your own words, must be attributed to the original source.

1. Google docs:
to create both word processing and spreadsheet documents جداول البيانات for collaboration.

2. Zoho writer :

أنشطة الكتابة

✴️ controlled writing

في نشاط الكنترول يكون المعلم هو المتحكم يعني الطالب ليس له حرية في اختيار المحتوى
و يكون عدد الإجابات الصحيحة في هذا النشاط واحدة بمعنى في الأمثلة التالية راح تكون الإجابة الصحيحة وحدة

▪️copying sentences

نسخ الجمل.. هنا الطالب ملزوم انه يكتب نفس الجملة اللي أعطاه المعلم ويعتبر الطالب هنا مقيد من الحرية..

▪️sequence jumbled words
ترتيب الكلمات في الترتيب الصحيح

▪️gap fill sentences
إكمال فراغات الجملة

▪️changing the sentence
تغيير زمن الجملة يعني مثلا اعطيك جملة في زمن المضارع و اقولك حولها إلى الماضي كذلك الطالب ملزوم انه يكتب إجابة وحده صحيحة حسب اللي حددتها له.

▪️parallel the sentences
هنا يعيد الطالب نفس الجملة لكن يطبقها على نفسه مثلا
I like swimming
ف الطالب يغيرها ولكن حسب الجملة اللي اعطته فيكتب مثلا I like video games وهكذا
طبعا الهدف من هذي الأنشطة تنمي الدقة
Reinforce the grammar,vocabulary...


✴️ guided writing : الكتابة الموجهة

يكون للطالب بعض من الحرية عن طريق إعطائه بعض الصور

▪️given a series of pictures.
ويكون الالتزام حسب الصور بما فيها من أفكار ولكن الفرق عن الكنترول انه عدد الإجابات غير محدود.. بمعنى لو اعطيت الطلاب essay وطلبت منهم يكتبون مثله بنفس الأفكار لكن كل واحد يكتب بأسلوبه فهنا كل إجاباتهم تكون صحيحة لأنها غير محدودة ولكن اللي عليهم انهم يلتزمو بفكرة essay.

✴️free writing : الكتابة الحرة

حرية كاملة للطالب فيما يكتبه و أيضا عدد الإجابات الصحيحة غير محدودة..
لكن احيانا يصعب على الطلاب انهم يقررون ماذا يكتبون ف يمكن اننا نساعدهم عن طريق عدة أشياء
▪️provide a stimulus
نعطيهم شي يحفزهم على الكتابة مثلا صورة أو موقف حقيقي يقتبسون منه

▪️working together > cooperative writing
العمل الجماعي لأنه يكون فيه توليد عدة أفكار

▪️interactive writing الكتابة التفاعلية
يعني واحد يكتب والثاني يرد
