How time flies.

Quick update:

1. Remember that we are not doing the Weekly Roundup this week and the next. Both Mark and I are busy these two weeks. We should be back Oct. 7th.

2. Someone asked me if there will be a Decameron Film Festival this year. I guess others are wondering, too. The short answer is: it doesn't look like it.

Financial support for my work here has pretty much dried up. Unfortunately, this strictly limits the amount of time I can devote, and Decameron takes up a lot of time. It's basically full-time work for a couple of months. Under these circumstances, I can't do it.

Thank you for understanding and my apologies to everyone who was looking forward to it.

I see people asserting that Tyler Robinson's texts are suspect because he wrote using complex verb tenses and "sophisticated" vocabulary. E.g. "If I am able to grab my rifle, I will have left no evidence."

Yes, most people don't write using the future perfect, but most people don't have a 4.0 grade average and a full scholarship to Utah State. Most people don't have a transexual lover and assassinate political figures. People should not be comparing these two guys to normal people. They are not normal.

The Right has a tendency to operate on the premise that all Leftists are stupid, and the FBI is an omnipotent army of pocket-protector nerds. The logical processing goes like this:

-FBI is smart and nerdy
-Leftists are dumb
-Robinson sounds smart and nerdy
-The FBI must've written this
