My impression from the Alaska summit so far:

It was all a big photo op and nothing was accomplished.

It reminds me of Trump's less-than-impressive military parade recently. If you're a big, important President, you're SUPPOSED to have a military parade. Doesn't matter how it is done. So Trump got his parade.

The same way, if you're a big, important President, you're SUPPOSED to have a "summit" with other important Presidents. So Trump got his "summit" and his photo op.

Someone said he looks like a kid who got to meet Santa.

"Look mommy, I am one of the important boys now!"

MAGA is a cargo cult of politics. Going through the motions, but there is no substance in anything.

Sort of like when Haiti was taken over by the blacks and everyone in the army suddenly became a "general". They just put the symbols on their uniforms and they thought that made them all "generals". They could feel better about themselves.

USA is just a playground for Trump's vanity. That's it.

Imperial decline ain't pretty.
