Dr. Shridevi “Shri” Singh, a breast cancer surgeon in West Islip and a single mother who devoted her life to caring for others, has passed away only weeks after losing her teenage daughter to an aggressive form of cancer. Dr. Singh worked as a breast surgical oncologist at The Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.

Harley Andrews was a passionate football and rugby player from Leigh in Greater Manchester. He had shown no signs of illness until he suddenly noticed bl*od in his urine, and just a day later was given the devastating diagnosis of leukaemia.

R.I.P Angelina Terrazas

Southwest High School softball standout Angelina Terrazas has passed away after battling Stage 3 ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed in March 2025. A talented pitcher and key player for the Southwest Dragons, Angelina helped lead her team to multiple district wins and was known for her precision, leadership, and dedication on the field.

R.I.P Ravindra Ahirwar

In India, 30-year-old LIC officer Ravindra Ahirwar died suddenly while playing cricket. The incident occurred at the Government Inter College (GIC) ground, where he had gone to play after several weeks. During a friendly match, Ravindra was bowling when he began to feel uneasy. He paused for some water, but soon after drinking, he started vomiting and collapsed on the field.

Mark Causey was found collapsed on his bathroom floor by police after being stuck there for four days. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma the most aggressive form of brain cancer and died just 19 weeks later in September 2024 at his home.

Washington women’s soccer goalkeeper Mia Hamant dies at 21 after battle with kidney cancer. Mia Hamant, a goalkeeper for Washington’s women’s soccer team who helped the Huskies reach the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament as a junior. She was regarded as one of the Big Ten’s top goalkeepers in 2024.
