This is the same pattern we’ve seen across the Atlantic. Trump as the statesman, the political figure who carries the movement into the halls of power, whilst characters like Bannon and Flynn, from outside the system, are free to be firebrands, to stir the base, to speak spiritual truths.

Two wings of the same beast; one political, one cultural. One moving within the system, one shaking it from the outside.

And perhaps that is why their paths diverged: not as a weakness, but as a way to cover more ground.
