According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Israeli forces have detained approximately one million Palestinians since 1967. Statistically, one out of every five Palestinians have been held captive at some point in their life.

Israel is not the only one profiting from this. Surveillance tech companies are directly involved in Israel’s war crimes - #ProjectNimbus, a contract between Israel, #Google and #Amazon, provides the cloud platform for Israel’s AI-powered genocide, including the mass abductions and torture of Palestinian hostages. In 2019, Israel’s Ministry of Public Security announced a partnership with YouTube, also owned by Google, facilitating censorship and the removal of accounts that disproportionately silences Palestinian content creators, journalists, and activists.
