The FOGNET Foundation is pleased to announce that the hacking incident involving the FOG Wallet in July 2025 has been fully resolved, and all necessary follow-up actions have been successfully completed.

Incident Summary
1. July 7, 2025. The FOG Foundation’s master wallet was compromised, resulting in unauthorized ownership transfers and coin withdrawals.

2. Upon discovery, the Foundation immediately contacted the exchanges where FOG was listed (MEXC and BINGX) and suspended FOG trading.

3. A new token contract was issued on July 9, 2025.

4. After discussions with both exchanges, the Foundation froze the hacked wallets and coordinated a coin swap for exchange-held tokens (excluding those affected by the hack).

5. The coin swap on MEXC and BINGX was completed on July 23, 2025.

6. Trading resumed on both exchanges at 5:00 PM (KST) on August 5, 2025.

7. The coin swap for general holders was completed between August 29 and 31, 2025.

Security Enhancements
To prevent similar incidents in the future, the FOG Foundation has implemented the following measures:

1. Enhanced Security Team: Additional cybersecurity experts have been hired to strengthen our overall infrastructure.

2. Ownership Relinquishment: On July 9, 2025, we relinquished ownership of the new token contract, ensuring that no party, including the Foundation, can alter or transfer ownership using the Master Key.

3. Certik Security Audit: A comprehensive audit by Certik, a global security firm, was completed on October 24, 2025. All recommended improvements were implemented immediately.

4. Cold Wallet Storage: All Foundation-held coins are now secured in cold wallets, with an enhanced withdrawal procedure requiring internal administrator approval for every transaction.
