A Few Words About Clans, dear Hamster Kings!
Our game is, above all, a social experience. It's a place where players come to compete with others, cooperate, and—soon—trade and build together. Social interaction is at the heart of everything we do.
🤝 Clans are a social structure
Clans have clear, non-negotiable mechanics: rules for joining, leaving, getting kicked out, and coexisting. But how these rules are used is entirely up to the players.
We’ve received a huge number of suggestions to introduce technical limitations on social behavior—like locking players out of new clans for several days after leaving one, or adding penalties for leaving or getting kicked. But to us, all of those ideas essentially say:
“We don’t want to deal with real social interaction—can you just make it so only positive experiences happen in clans?”
That’s not the path we’re taking. We don’t interfere in social dynamics. Each player decides for themselves:
- Whether to join an unknown clan and take the risk of getting kicked.
- Whether to create their own clan to exploit others.
- Or whether to gather like-minded people, follow the rules, grow their clan, and prepare for future battles.
🎁 Right now, clans provide mutual benefits
Players earn clan XP by completing quests—many of which are just part of normal active play. There’s also a specific quest that rewards the player directly for earning clan XP, giving them Recruits, Nuts, Tools, and other useful resources.
In other words, contributing to your clan also helps you progress. Most of these quests are structured around daily activity and are designed to be worthwhile every day.
If you're kicked out of a clan, you don’t lose the rewards you've already earned (like Recruits or other currencies). This reflects our commitment to making sure future systems will continue rewarding active players with even more ways to progress each day.
🥇Clan XP is just that—clan XP
It’s not a currency. It doesn’t unlock items in a clan shop or count toward clan wars (at least not directly). Its only purpose is to prepare your clan for future content—and along the way, to help you understand whether you're aligned with the team you've chosen.
When we introduce the clan shop, we’ll make sure it respects both the collective interests of the clan and the individual contributions of its members. This system is still being developed, but one thing is certain: it will be fair and also social.
How well you manage relationships within your clan will be a key factor in many aspects of clan life—including how shop items are distributed.
⚔️Clan wars will be built on top of existing activities, not separate from them. Success in these wars will come primarily from the strength of your team—whether you're leading one or part of one.
But we want to be clear: we won’t be forcing anyone to “play nice.” These are social mechanics first, and game mechanics second.
Your ability to build real, functional social connections will be just as important as your stats or strategy!
