Today, many pair “politics” with power and “politics” has politicians who say things that people want to hear. The more people who are affirmed in their beliefs, the more influential the politician.

Even President Trump, who came onto the politician scene with rough words and a strong presence, said things (and said them in a way) that people wanted to hear.

Success in “politics” is not based on truth.

It is based on influence.

And influence doesn’t not necessarily track to truth.
